Import a zone file

Imports the records of a BIND zone file (exported from the current DNS provider) into the domain's DNS zone here. NS and SOA of the domain itself and unsupported types are skipped and listed. Also accepts the file itself as text/plain (with ?replace_existing=true). Keeps two restore points: the file (the previous DNS) and the zone as it was just before.

Path parameters

idstring uuid required

The id of the domain.

Request body

zone_filestring required

The zone file in BIND format, as exported from the current DNS provider (often called 'export zone' or 'download zone file'). At most 256 KB.

replace_existingboolean

Optional, default false. true: for every name and type in the file, records here that are not in the file are deleted. false: records are only added.

What was added, removed, skipped and failed, with the restore point to undo it.
