Call ads.set_words

Change the words on one ad — 'make the headline say Spring sale ends Friday', 'change the button to Book now', 'shorten the main text'. Replaces one line of one ad's words — the headline, the main text, the description or the button — with the person's own words, exactly as they give them, and saves it at once. Name the ad by the creative_id the board's tools returned. The picture is not redrawn and nothing is spent; a line that would put our own plumbing word 'ad set' on the ad is refused with the reason. Not for a new picture of the same ad — that is ads.recompose_crop.

Every result names the workspace it ran in. Say which workspace the answer is about. When the account has more than one workspace and none is selected, this tool refuses with workspace_ambiguous and lists the choices — offer them, never pick one.

Headers

x-request-idstring

Your own id for this request, echoed back and recorded on the audit trail. 1–128 characters from A–Z a–z 0–9 . _ : -, starting with a letter or digit; anything else is replaced by a generated id.

Request body

campaign_idstring

The campaign's id. Leave it out to use the campaign the person is looking at.

creative_idstring uuid required

One ad's id on the board, as the board's tools returned it.

field'headline' | 'primary_text' | 'description' | 'call_to_action' required

Which line: headline (the bold line), primary_text (the main text above the picture), description (the line under the headline) or call_to_action (the button's words).

textstring required

The new line exactly as the person wants it — their words, never a rewrite of them.

workspacestring

Which workspace to run in — its slug. Omit to use your default. With more than one reachable workspace and no default, the call is refused and the choices are listed.

Response

The call was admitted and dispatched. ok says whether the tool succeeded — a refusal the tool itself produced is still a 200, exactly as it is a successful JSON-RPC result over MCP.
