Delete data source

Destructive cascade soft-delete of a source and its own data_source_items staging rows. Promoted objects survive - people, companies, the target playtable and its columns. One soft blocker: an active source with pending items → 409 delete_blocked, code discard_pending_items (confirm dropping not-yet-promoted rows, retry with acknowledge). No hard blockers. No recovery TTL; repeat → already_deleted:true.

Contract:

  • MCP tool delete_data_source, registry package mcp.playtables/data_sources, mount playtables.sources.
  • Operation delete, response envelope delete_cascade.
  • Flags: dangerous: the MCP layer gates it behind a preview/commit token, and the effect cannot be undone through this API.
