Mark a user as inactive

Set a user's status to inactive for the authenticated entity. Only administrators can deactivate users, a pending user cannot be deactivated, and the request has no body.

Deactivation suspends the user's access while preserving their entity profile and related resources. The user remains in Get users with status inactive, and Get a user shows the status.

Deactivate a user when you need to suspend access without removing the entity profile. Delete a user removes the entity profile and team assignments and starts cleanup of related resources.
