Verify a payee

Check a payee before sending money. Detects the payment-handle format across global rails (UPI, Venmo, Cash App, Pix, IBAN, email/phone) for transparency, screens against sanctions and OffshoreLeaks, and enriches business names with GLEIF (LEI) and GDELT adverse media. Honest note: Faro does not confirm an account exists or belongs to anyone — it reads public signals and advises. Format detection is always informational.

regionstring nullable

Optional ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 region hint (e.g. IN, US) used only to interpret a bare phone number that has no country code. Labelling context only — it never changes the reputation node, sanctions, or the verdict. A number written in full +<country code> form is identified regardless.
