Deny Order

Denies (rejects) an order from a marketplace. Use this endpoint when you are unable to fulfil an order — for example, when the item is out of stock or you cannot ship to the buyer's address.

When to use: Call this endpoint before any items are shipped to notify the marketplace that you cannot fulfil the order. The marketplace will typically cancel the order and notify the buyer.

Considerations:

  • Only deny an order that has not yet been (partially) shipped. Denying a shipped order results in an error.
  • Not all marketplaces support order denial; behaviour varies by marketplace.
  • Once denied, the order cannot be un-denied. Contact the buyer and/or marketplace support if you need to reverse a denial.
