Canonical league key, brand alias or exact display name: nba, NBA and epl all resolve, same as on /v1/stored/players, /v1/standings and /v1/stored/matches. A league we do not hold returns 400 naming the value and suggesting the valid keys, rather than a 200 over every league. Accepted and SILENTLY DROPPED until 2026-10-07 (and merely disclosed in meta.ignored_params from 2026-09-20): ?league=nba, ?league=ncaab and no league at all each returned pagination.total 175889, the whole table, against 6,998 for the ?sport=basketball control. ?leagueId= (a league UUID from GET /v1/leagues) still works and is unchanged.
