Borana Ayyaana Calendar (博拉納星月曆)

THE BORANA AYYAANA CALENDAR — the lunar-stellar reckoning of the Borana Oromo, the round the gadaa engine named as its own future and hereby completed: no week, no day-numbers — every day carries one of TWENTY-SEVEN AYYAANA names, read by the AYYANTU (the hereditary timekeepers) from the moon against the stars. THE SIDEREAL LAW is the jewel, asserted: 27 names is the moon’s STELLAR month — 27.32 days, stepping ~13.2° nightly (both asserted): the names track the moon’s PLACE, not its shape (Doyle’s 1986 reinterpretation of Legesse). THE DRIFT LAW: the phase month outruns the name-cycle by 2.209 days per month (asserted to a milliday) — managing that drift IS the ayyantu’s craft. THE SIX-AND-SIX LAW: six months named by conjunction with six asterisms (Triangulum, the Pleiades, Aldebaran, Bellatrix, central Orion–Saiph, Sirius) and six by moon phases — because half the year the stars drown in daylight (asserted). NAMORATUNGA served as the open archaeoastronomical dispute it is. Gregorian conversion refused by design. Oromo becomes two. Pure compute and served scholarship, no LLM.
