Get the top-level comments on a video, in TikTok's default order, by video URL or numeric video ID. Returns each comment's text, author, like and reply counts, and date, 50 per page. Supports fetching multiple pages in a single API call (billed per page).

Query parameters

urlstring

TikTok video URL, e.g. https://www.tiktok.com/@tiktok/video/7516594811734854943 (max 500 characters). Short links are accepted. Provide exactly one of url or video_id.

video_idstring

Numeric TikTok video ID: the number at the end of a video URL. Provide exactly one of url or video_id.

pagesinteger

Number of pages to fetch, 1-1000 (default: 1). Each page returns up to 50 comments.

get_sentimentboolean

Set to true to add AI emotion analysis to each item. Adds a sentiment object containing emotions (joy, trust, fear, surprise, sadness, disgust, anger and anticipation, each scored 0-100), dominant_emotion, emotional_intensity (0-10), and polarity (positive, negative or neutral). Any item that cannot be scored returns sentiment: null.
