signals

Set Signal

Set or change a signal (👍 / 👎) on an activity.

2026-05-23 — Body of this handler refactored to delegate to the canonical services.activity_feedback service. Previously this file owned all the dismissal + counter + hard-exclusion logic inline, which created an asymmetry with /api/discover/vibe/dismiss/{id}: a downvote here wrote notification_dismissals but NOT vibe_dismissals, and a downvote on the vibe lane wrote vibe_dismissals but NOT notification_dismissals + counter. Each surface owned half the truth. Now both routes go through the same service, so a downvote anywhere writes every dismissal table + counter + hard-exclusion in the same shot, and a restore clears them all.

Toggle-off semantics (tapping the same signal twice removes it) are preserved: the existing signal is read, and if it matches the new one we delegate to restore_activity (down) or just clear the 'up' row (up has no dismissal state to clear).
