Lookup Or Create

Find entity by name + type or create a new one. Matching pipeline (in order):

  1. Exact name match (name_lower = lower(:name))
  2. Alias match (entity_aliases.alias_lower = lower(:name))
  3. Trigram similarity >= 0.45 (pg_trgm) — catches typos, spacing variants
  4. AI disambiguation — if 2+ candidates above threshold, AI picks the best match given type + any available context (city, country)
  5. Create new entity if no match found

When a fuzzy/AI match is confirmed, the input spelling is automatically saved as an alias so future lookups are instant.
