Create User

Creates a new user in your organization.

The user will be created with the specified name and email address.

To create a machine user instead, set is_machine_user: true in the request body. Machine users do not require an email — one is generated automatically. You can optionally provide a slug and client_credentials for OAuth2 authentication.

Creating a machine user returns its gateway credentials under credentials, documented in MachineUserCredentials. The secret is shown once and cannot be retrieved afterwards, so store it when you receive it.

Response

User created successfully.

For machine users, the response also includes a credentials object with the client_id and a one-time secret. The secret is returned only once at creation time and cannot be retrieved again — store it securely.
