Export container: wav (default, mixed bytes verbatim), mp3 (192 kbps CBR / 44.1 kHz, ACX-ready), opus or m4b (AAC audiobook).

chaptersstring nullable

none (default) or auto. auto embeds one chapter marker per story item, titled from the first sentence of the item's text, in m4b and mp3 exports (wav and opus carry no chapters and ignore it). Anything else is a 400.

loudnessboolean

Apply EBU R128 loudness normalization (-18 LUFS / -3 dBTP, the Audible/ACX window) before encoding. This is the long-form surface that matters most: a story is a whole chapter, and normalizing the MIX is what stops chapter 2 landing louder than chapter 1. Idempotent by measurement — audio already at target is returned unchanged.
