Query parameters

svFileIdstring required

ID of the sustained vowel audio file (previously uploaded) - REQUIRED

Response

Successful response

GNE_VALUEnumber

Glottal-to-Noise Excitation Ratio on 0-1 scale. Example: 0.425

GNE_DBnumber

10*log10(GNE/(1-GNE)), a Vocametrix convenience transform, not a standard GNE measure (Michaelis 1997 reports GNE on its 0-1 scale). Example: -1.3

MEAN_F0number

Average fundamental frequency in Hz. Example: 205.3

F0_STDnumber

F0 standard deviation indicating pitch stability in Hz. Example: 8.3

HNRnumber

Harmonics-to-noise ratio in dB (for comparison with GNE). Example: 12.8

GENDERstring

Sex inferred from F0 against reference ranges (men about 88-172 Hz, women about 194-314 Hz, Banh 2009), otherwise "Undetermined (...)". Example: "Female"

VOICE_QUALITYstring

No verdict: to our knowledge, no validated cutoff exists for Praat GNE. Example: "Not classified (no validated cutoff to our knowledge)"

CLINICAL_RECOMMENDATIONstring

Fixed guidance text. Example: "To our knowledge, no validated diagnostic cutoff for GNE in Praat. Interpret with other measures and perceptual evaluation"

METHODstring

Calculation method identifier. Example: "Native_Praat_GNE"

ANALYSIS_TYPEstring

Analysis type descriptor. Example: "Native_Praat_GNE"

FREQUENCY_RANGEstring

Frequency range analyzed. Example: "500-4500 Hz"

BANDWIDTHstring

Bandwidth used in analysis. Example: "1000 Hz"

STEP_SIZEstring

Step size for frequency analysis. Example: "80 Hz"

ALGORITHMstring

Algorithm reference. Example: "Michaelis_et_al_1997"
