Get trending sounds

Returns sounds currently trending in the Virlo dataset. Default sort videos_7d ranks by # videos published using each sound in the last 7 days — the recency-weighted "what is rising right now" signal. videos_30d widens that window to 30 days. Legacy sorts usage_count and video_count return all-time leaders (greatest hits, not "trending"). Use the velocity sorts for momentum questions; use the legacy sorts for reach-not-momentum questions. Filter by platform or commerce-safe sounds.

Query parameters

platform'tiktok' | 'youtube' | 'instagram'

Only sounds from this platform. Omit for all platforms.

limitnumber

Items per page (1-100, default 20). Values above 100 are clamped.

pagenumber

Page number, 1-indexed (default 1).

sort'videos_7d' | 'videos_30d' | 'usage_count' | 'video_count'

Sort mode. videos_7d (default) and videos_30d return sounds with the most videos published in the Virlo dataset over that window — "currently rising". usage_count and video_count return all-time leaders, useful for reach-not-momentum questions: usage_count by the platform-reported count, video_count by how many videos in the Virlo dataset use the sound (sounds with none are not ranked). On videos_7d, videos_30d and video_count, pagination.total is a running lower bound; page with has_next_page.
