GET /api/calendar/value-date
FX spot value (settlement) date for a currency pair and trade date. Pro subscription required.
Convention: spot is T+2, counted separately on each currency's settlement calendar - a non-USD currency needs 2 clear business days, USD only 1 (a US holiday on T+1 does not delay spot), except against MXN/CLP/ARS/BRL/COP/PEN where USD also needs 2. USD/CAD, USD/TRY, USD/PHP and USD/RUB are T+1. The spot date must be a business day in both currencies and not a US holiday (crosses included), otherwise it rolls forward.
Calendars: EUR = TARGET2 closing days; USD = Federal Reserve holidays (a Saturday holiday is NOT moved to Friday); GBP = England & Wales bank holidays; JPY = Japan public + bank holidays; others = the home country's public holidays and weekend (e.g. Friday-Saturday for SAR).
Limitations: reference only. Not modelled - Middle-East Friday half-sessions, CLS cut-offs, NDF fixing conventions, ad-hoc closures announced after the library release, counterparty-specific agreements. Confirm with your counterparty.
