Create Basket

This endpoint is used to create a basket with a unique basket_id.

The basket_id needs to be passed to the availability endpoint to generate a URL for Tickitto's Ticket Selection Widget.

Basket_ids are anonymous and not associated with a specific ticket buyer; only at the checkout endpoint do you need to pass user specific data.

Each basket_id you generate with your API Key will be associated with your distributor_id so that ticket transactions occurring on your platform are recorded accurately on your Tickitto commission tracking dashboard.

You do not need to pass a URL parameter with this endpoint.

payment_method_type'stripe' | 'careem_pay' | 'tickitto'

STRIPE: Tickitto is MOR, and retrieves payment for the items via Stripe. CAREEM_PAY: Tickitto is MOR, and retrieves payment via Careem Pay. TICKITTO: The distributor is MOR, and tickitto purchases the items directly.

Payment method type to use for the basket. 'tickitto': on-account credit, distributor as MoR. 'stripe': Tickitto is MoR

  • not_checked_out: the basket has neither been, nor is being checked out
  • checkout_pending: the basket is currently in the process of checking out
  • payment_failed: the basket payment failed, and thus wasn't checked out
  • checked_out: the basket has already been checked out
  • checked_out_with_errors: the basket has been checked out but 1 or more items errored

Expiry datetime for the total_local_price_currency value/exchange rate, set by Stripe.

    Exchange rate used to convert the total price to the local currency, set by Stripe. An average of exchange rates for all items in the basket.
    This only differs from total_local_price_base_exchange_rate when the basket contains items with their own exchange rate, such as vivid USD
