Ephemerides

Sun and moon rise, set, transit and twilight

The core ephemerides call. Elevation is a first-class input: supplying elevation shifts sunrise and sunset measurably at altitude, which sea-level-only APIs cannot express.

Features your plan does not include are omitted from the response; the request still succeeds.

Query parameters

auto_elevationboolean

Look the elevation up from the coordinates. Paid plans only.

auto_timezoneboolean

Derive the timezone from the coordinates. Paid plans only.

daysinteger

Number of days to return, from 1. The ceiling is the plan's max_forecast_days; exceeding it returns 400 naming the limit.

elevationnumber double

Metres above sea level, -500 to 9000. The differentiating input: sunrise at 2000 m is measurably earlier than the sea-level answer most APIs return. Omit to use auto_elevation, or default to 0.

langstring

Language for localised names, e.g. moon phase. Paid plans only.

latnumber double required

Latitude in decimal degrees, -90 to 90.

lonnumber double required

Longitude in decimal degrees, -180 to 180.

start_datestring

First day, YYYY-MM-DD. Historical dates are plan-gated.

tzstring

IANA timezone for output timestamps, e.g. Europe/Dublin.

utc_offsetstring

Fixed offset instead of tz, e.g. +01:00.
