Resolves a query against Telegram's public directory and returns the matching entities (users, chats, results) — the same response shape as GET /v1/contacts/search, which is the route to use directly in new integrations. q and limit are forwarded; offset_id and cursor are ignored. Kept in place so existing integrations keep working unchanged.

Search query (forwarded to the public-directory search). Minimum 4 characters as sent; pad a shorter term with spaces (gta%20).

limitinteger

Maximum items to return. Defaults to 20 when omitted; values above 100 are clamped to 100.

Response

Public-directory entity results (same shape as searchContacts).
