Download a card image

Fetch the verified card artwork from your server with the same Bearer key. Follow images.small or images.large relative to the API origin. Returns binary WebP, capped at 1 MiB. This consumes one request from the shared daily and monthly allowances, including an admitted error. The image counter is diagnostic, not a separate commercial allowance. Do not embed a key in a URL or expose it in browser code.

1 admitted HTTP request. Unknown query/body parameters are rejected. Examples contain illustrative data and placeholder IDs; they are not live catalogue records.

Path parameters

idstring required

tcg_ price-variant ID, cat_ catalogue card ID, or catv_ source-variant ID. For catv_, also provide catalogue_card_id from the parent card.

Query parameters

size'small' | 'large'

Image rendition. The source may use the same file for both sizes.

catalogue_card_idstring

Parent catalogue card ID, required for a catv_ image and forbidden for other ID types. Copy the complete returned image path, including this parameter.

faceinteger

Optional zero-based position in a Magic card's metadata.faces array; only valid with tcg_ IDs. Omit for the main card image. Follow metadata.faces[].images paths including this parameter. Missing faces or images return 404.
