Update a comment trigger

Send only what should change; the rest is kept and the whole trigger is re-validated. active: true activates (refused with plan_limit_reached at the live cap, or flow_conflict if the linked flows are not ready); active: false pauses and pauses the linked flows. Changing button titles or types on a trigger with linked flows pauses those flows and the trigger for branch review; the response carries flow_impact. Requires the write scope.

comment = post and Reel comments; story = replies to your stories; both = either; live = comments during an Instagram Live. story and live are Instagram only.

post_idstring nullable

Scope to one post (an id from GET /recent-posts). Null means every post. Ignored for story and live.

post_urlstring nullable

Label only; post_id is what scopes the trigger.

keywordsstring[]

Any one of these matches.

match_type'exact' | 'contains' | 'fuzzy'

exact = whole word; contains = anywhere in the text; fuzzy = tolerates a typo or two.

exclude_keywordsstring[]

If any of these appear the trigger does not fire.

response_mode'both' | 'public_only' | 'dm_only'

both = public reply and DM; public_only; dm_only.

public_repliesstring[]

Up to five variations, one is picked per fire. {name} is the commenter. Required when the mode includes a public reply.

dm_templatesstring[]

Up to five DM variations. Required when the mode includes a DM unless dm_use_ai is true.

dm_use_aiboolean

Let the AI write the DM from dm_ai_goal, the knowledge base and the configured tone. Needs dm_ai_goal.

What the AI-written DM should achieve.

dm_image_urlstring nullable

https image attached to the DM.

dm_file_urlstring nullable

https PDF attached to the DM.

hide_comment_after_dmboolean

Hide the comment once the DM is sent (post comments only).

tag_idinteger nullable

Tag applied to the commenter when the trigger fires. Pro plans and above; silently ignored below.

true activates, false pauses.
