National debt (daily)

Total public debt outstanding, updated daily. Returns the latest daily records, newest first. start_date and end_date narrow the answer to a record_date window: end_date=<a day a year back> with limit=1 answers the value on or before that day in one small call. A windowed call returns only the newest limit records inside the window, never the whole window: limit defaults to 10 and is at most 100, so a window with more days than limit is cut at its older end.

Query parameters

start_datestring date nullable

Optional. Earliest record_date to return (YYYY-MM-DD).

end_datestring date nullable

Optional. Latest record_date to return (YYYY-MM-DD).

limitinteger

Maximum number of daily records, newest first. Default 10, maximum 100. With a window, the newest limit records inside it are returned.
