Symbol and company-name search

Finds tickers by symbol prefix or company-name substring. Exact symbol prefix matches come first, then shorter symbols, then alphabetical. No API key required (30 requests per minute per IP without one).

Query parameters

qstring required

Search text (symbol prefix or part of the company name), 1 to 60 characters.

limitinteger

cursorstring

Opaque cursor from meta.pagination.next_cursor of the previous page. Omit for the first page.

Headers

If-None-Matchstring

ETag of a previous response. An unchanged resource returns 304 without a body and without a quota charge.
