Funding totals by country, sector, series and year

One total from the /analysis chart: round count, USD total, breakdown and chart URL. dataset=rounds (default) is announced capital in the year; dataset=startups is companies founded that year with capital raised to date. Free, no API key; anonymous callers share a daily cap.

Query parameters

countrystring

Full English name or common alias (Canada, USA, UK). Comma-separated, up to 8.

countriesstring

Alias of country.

sectorstring

Sector name. Comma-separated, up to 8.

sectorsstring

Alias of sector.

seriesstring

dataset=rounds only. Exact, case-sensitive: Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, Series B, Series C, Series D, Series E, Series F+, Growth, IPO, Debt, Grant, Strategic, Unlabeled. Comma-separated; other values are dropped.

yearinteger

Sets both from and to.

frominteger

First year. Defaults per dataset: rounds 2021, funds 2015, startups 2010, investors 1995. Clamped to the dataset range.

tointeger

Last year. Defaults to the current year. Clamped between from and the current year.

funds and startups have no series; investors allows only time, sector, country. An invalid value becomes time.

bucket'month' | 'quarter' | 'year'

Defaults to year for a single year and quarter for a range.

Second breakdown: one of the dataset dimensions, not equal to group. Anything else means none.
