Get global snow rankings

Ranked leaderboard of ski areas. Use for: top powder today (sort=recent), best overall conditions (sort=snowsure), deepest bases (sort=depth), or the biggest storm coming (sort=forecast7d for the next week, sort=forecast14d for the fortnight). Add openOnly=true to list only resorts operating today. Optional region filter. Each resort includes heroImage (Sanity CDN URL) when available for card thumbnails. Pass slugs= to get SnowSure's values and order for a named set of up to 100 resorts regardless of season.

Forecast entitlement (SS-W-318). Days 1–7 and the blended total are public. Days 8–14 and the per-model series (models, byModel, comparableWindow, modelCoverageDays) require an entitled caller: SnowSure Pro, or a signed-in free reader asking about a resort in their My Mountains. An unauthenticated request receives the free window — forecast.daily cut to seven days, total14dCm equal to the total of those days, and forecastHorizonDays: 7 stating the span. The field keeps its name so existing consumers keep reading a number; read forecastHorizonDays to know what it covers. There is no partner key: every caller follows the same rule.

sort'snowsure' | 'forecast' | 'forecast7d' | 'forecast14d' | 'recent' | 'depth'

Ranking criteria. forecast7d ranks on the forward 7-day blended total (the industry comparison window); forecast14d on the fortnight. forecast is retained and means forecast14d. Rows are always ranked on the same value they publish: for a caller without the fortnight (anonymous, or a free reader outside their My Mountains) that is the seven-day total each row serves under forecast14dCm with forecastHorizonDays: 7, so forecast14d never orders rows by days the caller cannot read (SS-W-1462). Resorts with no forecast data rank last rather than as zero. An unrecognised value falls back to snowsure and is reported in summary.warning.

openOnlyboolean

When true, return only resorts operating today (identical to filtering the response on isOpen). Applied BEFORE limit, so sort=forecast7d&limit=10&openOnly=true returns ten open resorts rather than ten rows of which some are closed.

Comma-separated resort slugs (at most 100; aliases resolve). Returns SnowSure's rows and order for exactly those resorts, in season or not: the in-season filter is not applied, limit defaults to 100, and region/openOnly still apply if given. A resort not operating keeps SnowSure's closed-row values (score null). Slugs SnowSure has no resort for are listed in data.notFound. Without this parameter the board is unchanged.
