Parse a credential string into structured degrees and certifications

Parses credential strings like 'MD, PhD, FACP' into matched degrees and certifications. Multi-pass strategy with fuzzy matching, hyphen/space splitting, state-code disambiguation, and license number stripping. Fuzzy matching applies only to tokens after the first delimiter, so name words in an undelimited leading segment ('Jane Doe MD') land in unknown instead of being fuzzy-guessed into credentials. Returns per-token type, confidence, and full name.

Query parameters

include_receiptboolean

Set true to attach an execution receipt at meta.receipt — caller-verifiable sha256 hashes over the RFC 8785 (JCS) canonicalization of this call's as-received JSON body and its result (free, like include_trace). Reproduce with any JCS library: input_hash = sha256(jcs({"tool": <request path>, "args": <your body minus include_trace/include_receipt>})); result_hash = sha256(jcs(result)). For deterministic tools, same input on the same build reproduces result_hash.

Request body

textstring required

Credential string, e.g. 'MD, PhD, FACP'.

enable_fuzzyboolean

Enable fuzzy matching for close misses. Applies only to tokens after the first delimiter; a leading undelimited segment (often a person's name) must match exactly regardless of this flag — a deliberate guard against fabricating credentials from name words.
