Update a prompt

Edit a prompt's wording, intent, branded flag, or keyword metrics. Does NOT archive or restore it — use POST .../tracking for that. Requires the prompt:draft capability. If-Match (e.g. "3") is the optimistic-concurrency guard: a stale value returns 409 stale_revision. A pitch project that is not currently active also refuses with 409 INACTIVE_PITCH_PROMPT_MUTATION. Supports Idempotency-Key replay; a reused key with a different body returns 409 idempotency_conflict.

The project id.

promptIdstring uuid required

The prompt's id, as list_prompts prints it. These routes change a prompt or read its history, so they take the id only: no prefix or text lookup, and a value that is not a UUID is 404.

Optimistic-concurrency guard for PATCH .../prompts/{promptId} — the prompt's currentRevision from a prior read or write, e.g. "3". A stale value fails with 409 stale_revision instead of silently overwriting a concurrent edit.

Idempotency-Keystring

Optional client-generated key (e.g. a UUID). Retrying with the same key within 24h replays the original stored response (X-Idempotent-Replay: true) instead of repeating the side effect. See Idempotency.
