Distribution Badge

The distribution badge. Pure function of the URL — no database access.

It renders for any well-formed owner/repo, indexed or not. That is deliberate: a maintainer who adds the badge must never see a broken image while their first index is still running, and the badge reveals nothing about whether a repo exists (it renders identically either way).
