memories

Supersede a memory with new information

Explicitly supersede a memory with new information.

This is for when you know that old information is now outdated and want to create a clear audit trail of the belief update.

  • new_content: The updated information
  • reason: Why this supersession is happening

The old memory is NOT deleted - it's marked as superseded. This creates a full audit trail of how beliefs evolved over time.

Example:

{
    "new_content": "Alice now works at NewCorp",
    "reason": "She changed jobs in March 2026"
}
