Production

Get Production

Get electricity production breakdown by production type for a zone.

Returns time series with generation per production type in MW. Each data point includes all production types that have data for the zone — missing types are filled with 0.

Production types: solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, coal, gas, oil, biomass, geothermal, unknown.

Multi-source: Use ?source= to select a specific data source, or omit to use the zone's preferred source.

Path parameters

zone_keystring required

Query parameters

sourcestring nullable

Data source to query (e.g., entsoe, energy_charts). If omitted, the zone's preferred source is used.

resolution'native' | '5M' | '15M' | '30M' | '1H'

Output cadence the caller asked for on a series endpoint.

NATIVE means: leave the series at its upstream cadence and leave holes as null where data is missing. The other members snap the series onto a uniform grid: 5M, 15M, 30M, 1H.

Output cadence. native (default) emits each mode at its upstream cadence with null where a mode has no data at a timestamp. 5M/15M/30M/1H snap every mode to a uniform grid: mean-downsample if the target is coarser than the upstream cadence, ffill-upsample (carrying each value across one upstream interval) if finer.

fuelstring

Comma-separated production modes to return (e.g. solar, wind). all (default) returns every mode that has data in the window.

startstring date-time nullable

Start of time range (ISO 8601). Default: 24h ago.

endstring date-time nullable

End of time range (ISO 8601). Default: now.

Response

Successful Response

zone_keystring required
sourcestring required

Data source used for this response

data_typestring
resolutionstring required

Output cadence applied to the response — native means each mode is at its upstream cadence; any other value (5M, 15M, 30M, 1H) means every mode has been resampled onto that uniform grid.

native_resolutionobject

Per-mode upstream cadence, as an ordered list of {resolution, from, to} segments covering the response window. resolution is an ISO-8601 duration (e.g. PT1H, PT15M) or null when a segment has too few samples to infer one. Most modes have exactly one segment; a mode whose upstream publisher changed cadence mid-window (e.g. an ENTSO-E TSO moving from hourly to 15-minute reporting) has one segment per cadence, in chronological order. from/to are ISO-8601 timestamps bounding that segment (inclusive).

startstring required

Start of time range (ISO 8601)

endstring required

End of time range (ISO 8601)
