List Areas

List canonical areas exposed by the API.

Areas generalise the older "zone" concept. They include countries, bidding zones, control areas, synchronous areas, and market-coupling areas. Existing time-series endpoints still use zone keys in their path; the area metadata tells clients what kind of area a key represents.

Query parameters

area_typestring nullable

Optional area type filter, for example country, bidding_zone, control_area, synchronous_area, region, or market_coupling_area.

country_codestring nullable

Optional ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country filter.
