Public

Get MCP connection instructions

Current instructions for connecting a client to the full Proof MCP server. Public, no API key.

The embedded Proof showcase inside a publisher's own MCP server reads this endpoint through its proof_connect tool and marks the call with X-Proof-Surface, which is what lets showcase traffic be counted apart from everything else.

get/api/v1/mcp/connect

Request

  • Base URL: https://api.proof.holdings
  • URL: https://api.proof.holdings/api/v1/mcp/connect
  • Auth: none declared

Headers

X-Proof-Surfacestring

Calling surface, counted separately when it names the showcase.

Example:showcase/0.1.0

Response

Connection instructions

messagestring required

Human-readable description of what the full Proof MCP server adds to a client.

remote_urlstring uri

The hosted MCP server's own URL. Needs no install and no API key to start — the client authenticates through OAuth when a tool first requires an account. ABSENT where this deployment serves no hosted server; use install_command then.

install_commandstring required
install_caveatstring required

Why a client that resolved an older published build should not rely on it. Names the versions it is about rather than the registry’s present contents, and the remedy it offers depends on the deployment: remote_url where a hosted server is advertised, a later release of the package where none is.

docs_urlstring uri required
