Remove a member from the organization
Ends this person's membership of the organization named in the assertion. This is not account deletion and not durable revocation — read the whole list before relying on it:
- The Outset account survives, and so does every other organization it belongs to, including organizations you do not administer.
- Their existing sessions end unless they are left a membership of an organization that is still active. With one left, a session stays valid, because a session names no organization and ending it would sign them out of organizations unrelated to you. A membership of an organization you have suspended does not count — a session there resolves to nothing — so removing a person from one of your organizations while another is suspended signs them out everywhere.
- Your identity provider can re-admit them. The next assertion it makes for this person recreates the membership at the default role, because that is how they arrived in the first place. To revoke access, remove them at your end too; doing it only here is undone by their next sign-in.
- Their interviews, studies and other work stay with the organization.
Refused while the organization is suspended.
Requires the users:write partner scope.
