Stream task run progress

Streams durable task log/progress events as application/x-ndjson. The stream first backfills events with seq greater than afterSeq, then tails the run log until a terminal event or client disconnect.

get/v1/background-tasks/{slug}/runs/{runId}/events/stream

  • Base URL: / (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
  • URL: /v1/background-tasks/{slug}/runs/{runId}/events/stream
  • Auth: HTTP bearer

Path parameters

slugstring required

Task slug.

Example:daily-summary

Background task slug, matching bg-tasks/<slug> locally.

runIdstring required

Run id.

Example:run-20260604-210000

Cloud-visible run id for a background task run.

Query parameters

afterSeqinteger

Last seen event seq.

Optional reconnect cursor. When provided, only events with seq greater than this value are streamed.

NDJSON stream of BackgroundTaskRunEvent objects.
