Family name frequency statistics

Returns the number of times family names appear in events for the selected source types, place and period. Results are ordered by frequency. Open Archives uses this endpoint to power its family name frequency visualisation.

Query parameters

eventplacestring

Existing place name to filter on.

eventyearstartinteger

Starting year of events to include. Minimum is 1500.

eventyearendinteger

Ending year of events to include. Maximum is 1960.

eventtype0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 6

Numeric value for the event type to filter on. 0=All types, 1=Christening and birth records, 2=Marriage records, 3=Burial and death records, 6=Notarial deeds.

number_showinteger

Maximum number of results per page to return.

lang'nl' | 'en' | 'de' | 'fr'

Language code for data labels.

callbackstring

JavaScript function name for JSONP callback.
