Query parameters
Search query. Can include two names separated by & and a year or period. See https://www.openarchieven.nl/ for advanced query syntax.
Filter results on a specific archive. Obtain valid archive codes via the Stats/Archives endpoint.
When set to 1 in combination with archive_code, results from the selected archive are excluded instead of the search being restricted to it. Has no effect without archive_code.
Number of results to return. Maximum is 100.
Filter results on source type. Obtain valid source types via the Stats/Sources endpoint.
Filter results on event place.
Filter results on birth place of the person.
Filter results on relation type (e.g. Bride, Groom, Registered).
Filter results on country. Available codes: nl, be, fr, sr, etc.
Column to sort results on. Use a negative value to sort descending, positive to sort ascending. 1=Name, 2=Role, 3=Event, 4=Date, 5=Place, 6=Source.
Initial result offset for paging. Deep pagination is not supported: the maximum allowed value is 10000. Requests with start greater than 10000 are rejected with HTTP 400 (error_code 50).
Language code. Affects archive name, sourcetype, relationtype and eventtype labels in the response.
