Check a licence

Public. key=OP-… checks one article licence: its status, type, licensee (email masked), the article, the amount, the on-chain record, the terms version and the licence text (agreement), and rights, a plain statement of what the licence permits. A revoked licence still answers 200, with status: "revoked" and valid: false. license_id=<uuid> checks a licence order, optionally for one article (content_id) at a moment in time (timestamp): valid_at_time, rights, terms and the Tempo record.

Query parameters

keystring

License key (OP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format) — individual license path

license_idstring uuid

Enterprise license UUID — enterprise path. Mutually exclusive with key.

content_idstring uuid

Optional article UUID for content-scope check (enterprise path only). Returns content_scope: { in_scope: boolean } in response.

timestampstring date-time

Optional ISO-8601 timestamp for point-in-time validity check (enterprise path only). Default: current time.

Response

The licence. The shape depends on whether you sent key or license_id.
