Update an Account

Updates an existing account by its account_id. Only the fields sent are changed.

Domains — domains replaces the account's whole domain list, primary first; send the full list you want, not just the additions. A domain another account already uses fails the request with 409 domain_conflict, and each entry of error.domains names the holder's account_id. Invalid, consumer and own-organization domains fail it with 422 domain_rejected. Either way the account's domains are left as they were.

Company — company_id links or changes the account's company; null unlinks it. Fields a user edited are kept unless replace_edited_fields is true.

Represents the status of an account in the sales process. These are suggested values, but the field accepts any string for flexibility.

parent_accountstring uuid nullable

Account ID to set as this account's parent, or null to make it top-level. The parent must be a top-level account in the same workspace.

domainsstring[] nullable

The account's complete list of domains. Replaces the whole list: domains left out are removed from the account. The first domain is the primary. Omit the field (or send null) to leave the domains unchanged; send [] to remove them all. A domain another account in the workspace already uses is rejected with domain_conflict, naming that account.
