link-preview

Proxy endpoint for fetching link preview metadata.

GET /api/v1/link-preview/?url=<encoded_url>

Validates the URL, checks cache, fetches from the appropriate handler (currently Twitter oEmbed only), caches the result, and returns it. Rate-limited to 30 requests/minute per IP.

Response shapes (per spec):

  • Success: {"type": "twitter", "url": "...", "data": {...}}
  • Unavailable (non-200 from Twitter): {"type": "twitter", "url": "...", "data": null}
  • Timeout: {"type": "error", "message": "..."}
  • Bad request: {"error": "..."} with status 400
  • Rate limited: {"error": "..."} with status 429
