Start connecting a Stripe account

Returns a Stripe Connect OAuth URL for the selected firm or company workspace. Open it in a browser; the callback stores the connection and returns to Settings > Stripe on the initiating host. The original connection remains the default for bookkeeping, new payments, and onboarding. Sentinel may add subscription_links accounts for existing subscription links and portal card updates only, with no bookkeeping sync. Each Stripe account belongs to only one workspace. Existing connections created through onboarding remain the same records. The callback is a browser redirect target and is never called directly.

Query parameters

purpose'accounting' | 'firm_payments' | 'subscription_links'

subscription_links adds a linking-only account for Sentinel. Requires an existing default connection. Other workspaces receive 403. Legacy firm_payments requests retain accounting behavior.

labelstring

Name for this connection. Defaults to 'Default'.

organizationIdstring uuid

Firm or company workspace to connect, for callers that cannot send the organization header. Membership is still checked.

redirect'1'

Set to 1 to redirect straight to Stripe instead of returning the URL as JSON.
