Thumbnail track for a CMAF VOD media

Returns a WebVTT thumbnail track for scrub-bar previews.

Each cue gives the URL of an image with an #xywh= media fragment selecting a single tile from it. Cue cadence and tile size vary by media and are not fixed values.

Only applicable to media with a renditions hosting type (referred to as CMAF VOD in the dashboard). A request for a media with any other hosting type returns a 404.

A request for a CMAF VOD media with no thumbnail track also returns a 404. The response is cached only briefly, because a track can become available later.

On properties with URL signing enabled, requests must be signed. Returned media and playlist URLs are already signed. See Protect your content with signed URLs for more information.

tokenstring

Signature for requests to the Content API for protected content

It consists of a JSON Web Token (JWT) containing the parameters of the request.

When requested with no signature to prevent unauthorized access to videos, unsigned video URLs are returned.

More information is available in the developer guide.

If this is not included on a DRM-protected media request, the request is considered invalid. It must also be included as a parameter when generating the required JWT for DRM requests.
