Create Contact

Create a person or organization contact in the CRM. Provide fullname or firstname for a person, or organization_name for an organization. The contact type is inferred when omitted. If no manager or tags are provided, assigns the requesting user and the 'contact' tag. Write operation: creates a contact.

contact_type'person' | 'organization' nullable

Type of contact to create. Use 'person' for an individual or 'organization' for a company. When omitted, organization_name or cnpj selects organization, while fullname, firstname, or cpf selects person. When the type is omitted, mixed person and organization signals require user clarification.

fullnamestring nullable

Preferred name field for a person. Send the complete name here when it is available; the tool separates first name and surname automatically. Do not split it manually into firstname and lastname. Example: 'Ana das Graças Silva' → fullname='Ana das Graças Silva'.

firstnamestring nullable

First name of a person. Use it only when fullname is unavailable and the name components are already known separately.

lastnamestring nullable

Complete surname of a person. Use it only with firstname when fullname is unavailable. Preserve particles such as 'das', 'de', and 'dos'. Example: lastname='das Dores'.

organization_namestring nullable

Name of the organization. Provide it when creating an organization contact.

emailstring nullable

Primary contact email. It is normalized to lowercase and checked for an existing contact before creation.

phonestring nullable

Primary contact phone. Punctuation is removed, at least eight digits are required, and the value is checked for an existing contact before creation.

cpfstring nullable

CPF of a person, with or without formatting. The check digits are validated and the value is checked for an existing contact before creation.

cnpjstring nullable

CNPJ of an organization, with or without formatting. The check digits are validated and the value is checked for an existing contact before creation.

tagsstring[] nullable

Tags used to categorize the contact. When omitted, the tool assigns the 'contact' tag. Include 'lead' when the new person should be treated as a lead.

manager_namestring nullable

Name or partial name of the manager to assign to the contact. The lookup is case-insensitive and must resolve to one active user; otherwise the tool returns options for disambiguation. Omit both manager fields; creation then assigns the requesting user, while update keeps the current manager.

manager_emailstring nullable

Exact email of the manager to assign. Prefer this over manager_name when available. Omit both manager fields to assign the requesting user.

birthdaystring nullable

Person's birthday. Accepted formats: YYYY-MM-DD, DD/MM/YYYY, or DD-MM-YYYY.

addressstring nullable

Contact address as free text.

observationstring nullable

Free-text note about the contact.
