Surveys

Verify Survey Domain

Start verification of a domain for SURVEY sending, and get the DNS records back.

The records include DMARC, which Gmail and Yahoo require of bulk senders - publishing SPF and DKIM alone passes this check and still lands in spam.

Idempotent: re-running it on a domain already being verified re-reads the records rather than starting again, and a previously FAILED domain is reset to pending so the reconciler picks it up.

A domain bought through graph8 has its DNS added automatically; a domain you own needs the records added at your own provider before /status will ever turn green.

  • Base URL: https://be.graph8.com/api/v1
  • URL: https://be.graph8.com/api/v1/feedback/sending-domains/verify
  • Auth: HTTP bearer

Headers

Authorizationstring nullable
X-Target-Org-Idstring nullable

Request body

domainstring required

The sending domain or subdomain, e.g. feedback.acme.com.

Response

Successful Response

dataSurveyDomainPayload required

An open envelope for a verification result.

Open because the DNS record set grows: DMARC was added to it after SPF and DKIM, and closing the shape would have silently dropped the record that decides whether Gmail accepts the mail at all.
