List public monitoring alerts for an enterprise

Lists public monitoring alerts for an enterprise, from newest to oldest by default.

GitHub monitors secrets leaked across GitHub in real time. These findings may be associated with your enterprise.

The authenticated user must be an enterprise owner or enterprise security manager.

Public monitoring must be enabled for the enterprise.

OAuth app tokens and personal access tokens (classic) must have the repo or security_events scope to use this endpoint.

Path parameters

enterprisestring required

The slug version of the enterprise name.

Query parameters

per_pageinteger

The number of results per page (max 100). For more information, see "Using pagination in the REST API."

afterstring

A cursor, as given in the Link header. If specified, the query only searches for results after this cursor. For more information, see "Using pagination in the REST API."

beforestring

A cursor, as given in the Link header. If specified, the query only searches for results before this cursor. For more information, see "Using pagination in the REST API."

direction'asc' | 'desc'

The direction to sort the results by.

repositorystring

A comma-separated list of repository names in OWNER/REPOSITORY format to filter by.

secret_authorstring

A comma-separated list of GitHub user handles to filter by secret author.

secret_typestring

A comma-separated list of secret types to filter by.

attribution'member_activity' | 'verified_domain'

The attribution method to filter by.

validitystring

A comma-separated list of validities that, when present, will return alerts that match the validities in this list. Valid options are active, inactive, and unknown.

The enterprise-scoped public monitoring alert number.

urlstring uri required

The REST API URL of the alert resource.

secret_typestring

The type of secret that secret scanning detected.

secret_type_display_namestring

User-friendly name for the detected secret, matching the secret_type. For a list of built-in patterns, see "Supported secret scanning patterns."

validity'active' | 'inactive' | 'unknown'

The validity status of the secret as of the latest validity check.

created_atstring date-time

The time that the secret was detected in ISO 8601 format.

state'open' | 'resolved'

Sets the state of the secret scanning alert. You must provide resolution when you set the state to resolved.

resolution'dismissed' | 'fixed' | 'null' nullable

Required when the state is resolved. The reason for resolving the alert.

resolved_atstring date-time nullable

The time that the alert was resolved in ISO 8601 format: YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ.

resolution_commentstring nullable

An optional comment when resolving or reopening an alert.

secretstring nullable

The secret that was detected.
