Run play

Run the play now: the audience resolved, the action taking what it does not already hold (at most 500 rows, within the queue's room and the day's ceiling). The click is the consent of a manual play: estimate_play first and name the count and the credits in one sentence. Refusals: a people play with no workflow yet (422), a find_people source paused by a structural refusal (409 source_paused), a workflow without its published version (409 invalid_transition), an archived workflow (409).

Contract:

  • MCP tool run_play, registry package mcp.playtables/plays, mount playtables.pipeline.
  • Operation action, response envelope action.
  • Flags: dangerous: the MCP layer gates it behind a preview/commit token, and the effect cannot be undone through this API.
