Get an editable Google Drive template

Get a link for editing a template that is backed by a Google Docs file. external_editor is required in the request body. Pass external_editor_id to get a link to an already created Google Drive file; without it a copy of the template file is created in Google Drive and the link to the copy is returned. Templates that are not backed by a Google Docs file return no content.

Id of the template.

Request body

external_editorstring required

Required, but its value is not used: any value, such as docs, is accepted, and only templates edited in Google Docs return an editor.

external_editor_idstring

Id of the template in its external editor, when it already has one.

Response

The request succeeded.

external_editor_type'docs' | 'docx' required

External editor the template is edited in, always docs.

external_editor_idstring required

Id of the template in its external editor.

editor_urlstring nullable required

URL that opens the template in its external editor, or null when there is none.
