Shipment mass (in mass_unit).

Unit for mass.

distance_kmnumber required

Transport distance in kilometres (caller-provided; not routed).

mode'road' | 'rail' | 'sea' | 'air' | 'inland_waterway' required

Transport mode.

sub_modestring

Optional sub-mode / vehicle class (e.g. "articulated", "container ship"). Omit for the representative default.

region'uk' | 'us' | 'fr'

Factor source/region: uk = DEFRA, us = EPA, fr = ADEME. Default is per-mode.

basis'wtw' | 'ttw'

wtw (default) or ttw. When the factor publishes only the other basis, the answer uses it and says so: emissions.basis_used, basis_requested, basis_note and a BASIS_SUBSTITUTED warning.
