Auth Status

Anonymous-safe session check.

Returns 200 with {authenticated: true, user: {...}} when a valid session exists, or 200 with {authenticated: false, user: null} when it doesn't.

Unlike /auth/me (which 401s for anonymous visitors), this NEVER returns a 4xx status, so the browser doesn't log a "Failed to load resource: 401" console error on every public page load. The SPA bootstrap uses this instead of /auth/me (SEO Phase 3.9 — clears the errors-in-console audit).
