Today's challenges for a trip — at most three, deterministic for (user, trip, date), drawn from the traveller's own saved places that fit a ≥4-hour gap in the day and the day's forecast. Requires date (YYYY-MM-DD): the server does not guess the traveller's calendar day. Returns an explicit empty list with a reason when the trip has challenges switched off, or when nothing qualifies. Zero model calls, zero paid providers.
