Retrieve Filing Document

Download the filing's main document as a single readable file.

Many filings are stored as a ZIP package (file_extension is ZIP): an SEC submission with its exhibits and XBRL files, or an ESEF report package. For those, this returns the main document from inside the package: the SEC filer's primary document (the 10-K HTML, or the annual report PDF), or the ESEF report XHTML (also from a package nested inside the download). An HTML document comes as filed, with its images embedded so the saved file opens complete. X-Package-Member names the file inside the package.

For any other filing, and for a main document over 50 MB (HTML) or 100 MB (other files), the response is a redirect to the stored file (document). The full package is always at document. A 200 is billed as one raw request; a redirect is not billed.
